Qualification

Representing an international pharmaceutical company in anti-monopoly proceedings initiated upon its application on suspicion of an act of unfair competition by a Russian generics manufacturer. The project involved communication with competent regulators (Russian Ministry of Health, Federal Anti-monopoly Service of Russia) as well as with industry business associations.

These series of cases and subsequent litigation had great resonance in the pharmaceutical industry and helped to significantly reverse the negative trend of generics companies appropriating the know-how and intellectual property of «big pharma» representatives.
International Commercial Arbitration

Representing a Belarusian contractor in an SCC arbitration against a Central Asian state and a state concern. The dispute relates to the construction of an ore fertiliser plant in Turkmenistan under a US$1 billion contract.

Advising and representing major European companies in four separate arbitrations arising from energy supply and transportation disputes.

Representing one of the largest international furniture retailers in a Russian court dispute concerning recovery of over USD 120 million to the state budget.

Representing several foreign creditors in the Russian bankruptcy proceedings of the chairman and founder of a foreign bank.

Representing the senior management of two Russian banks in defending claims for damages – including losses arising from alleged criminal acts – and for the invalidation of bank transactions.

Representing a drilling company in claims for the recovery of insurance premiums.

His experience covers disputes in the Energy & Natural Resources, and Construction sectors.

Before joining DGP, Vladimir worked in the dispute resolution practice at White&Case and began his career at a leading Russian law firm.
