Representing a Russian mining company in a multibillion-dollar dispute with an EU member state in an investment arbitration administered under UNCITRAL Rules.

Representing a Russian shipbuilding company in the dispute with the supplier of blocks, equipment and materials under the SIAC Rules arising out of the force majeure notices of the supplier citing the sanctions imposed by the United States of America or the European Union.

Representing a Russian oil refinery in arbitration proceedings under the SAC Rules against a foreign raw materials supplier.

Representing a Russian state corporation against a European state in a number of commercial disputes and investment arbitration related to the termination of a nuclear power plant construction project totaling several billion US dollars.

Representing a major Russian manufacturer of synthetic rubbers and plastics in arbitration proceedings under SAC Rules, arising out of supply contract.

Representing one of the largest Russian transportation and logistics holding in connection with a shareholding dispute in course of the LCIA arbitration, as well as in a number of litigation proceedings in various jurisdictions.

His experience covers disputes in the Energy & Natural Resources, Transport, Retail & Real Estate, Financial Institutions & Fintech sectors.

Before joining DGP, Matvey was a visiting researcher at the UNIDROIT in Rome, where he participated in the development of an instrument to regulate international investment contracts. Previously, he also worked at the Luxembourg office of the Swiss private bank Pictet, where he worked on compliance, insider trading and sanctions issues, and interned at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva where he dealt with disputes arising out of individual communications.
