Elen specialises in complex international arbitration and litigation, including those involving elements of English, French, and European laws. She represents clients in cases involving contractual and cross-border tort liability, conspiracy allegations, and state responsibility issues. Elen’s experience includes conducting the various task that accompany heavy litigation in foreign jurisdictions, including drafting pleadings and opening and closing submissions.

Representing a Russian industrial company against one of the world’s largest commodity traders in a claim for damages under English law governed petrochemicals supply contract in the High Court of Justice of England and Wales.

Representing a Russian industrial company in Russian enforcement proceedings over an SCC award against a leading multinational consumer goods and personal care corporation in the first ever reported arbitration where a Russian company fully prevailed on non-applicability of UK and EU sanctions and wrongfulness of its counterparty’s sanction defenses.
