Anton Komogorov

Senior Associate, Advocate

Anton specializes in international commercial and investment arbitration, cross-border and Russian litigation, including litigation relating to corporate conflicts and within bankruptcy proceedings.
He has a significant experience in representing clients in arbitration proceedings under the ICC, LCIA, SCC, UNCITRAL and other rules. He also has experience in cases concerning the recognition and enforcement of foreign judgments and awards. In Russian courts, Anton represented clients in a wide range of complex commercial disputes.

Projects

Qualification

Representing a Russian atomic energy corporation in a number of parallel commercial disputes totaling several billion US dollars.

The dispute is related to the termination of a nuclear power plant construction project.

International Commercial Arbitration

Advising one of the world’s leading mineral fertilizer producers on the matters related to a dispute in international commercial arbitration under the ICC Rules arising out of the termination of the contract due to sanction.

Representing a client in a dispute against the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation acting in the interest of the Russian Federation, where the latter sought to recover 100% of shares of a large industrial enterprise from the client.

Representing a major Russian metallurgical plant in a dispute with one of the world’s leading companies in the field of natural resources extraction and processing, in an arbitration proceeding under the LCIA Rules.

Representing SIBUR International GmbH in a dispute against an American FMCG corporation in an arbitration administered under the SCC Rules.

The dispute arose in connection with the recovery of a debt for delivered goods and involved issues related to the application of UK sanctions legislation, in particular the provisions of Council Regulation (EU) No 833/2014 of February 24, 2024.

Representing a client in a bankruptcy case of one of Russia’s largest industrial enterprises associated with one of the largest corporate conflicts in the history of Russia.

Representation of one of the world’s largest petrochemical companies in the case concerning the recognition and enforcement of a foreign award.

Representation of the interests of a major Russian company in disputes concerning the bondholders’ claims for coupon payment on eurobonds.

Representing Russia’s largest private business group in a litigation in the BVI courts worth USD 1 billion.

The dispute was related to the ownership of Russia’s largest private heating and electricity generation company and involved issues of English and Russian law.
International Litigation

Representing T Plus in a dispute involving subsidiary liability claims against the persons controlling E4 Group JSC (including Mikhail Abyzov, ex-minister of the Open Government) as part of E4 Group bankruptcy proceedings.

Representing German development conglomerate in several Russian disputes against a notorious businessman in St.-Petersburg emerging from pushing a Russian subsidiary into insolvency by concluding fake loan agreement and bringing the mother-companies to secondary liability for its debts.

Representing a top Greek bank in bankruptcy proceedings of Russian subsidiaries of a Greek development conglomerate following a €40 mln default under Greek law governed facility agreement.

The case involved representation in a number of high-profile disputes before Russian courts with respect to the foreclosure over land plots.

Before joining DGP, Anton worked at the Moscow office of the international legal firm Noerr.

His experience covers disputes in the Energy & Natural Resources, Fintech & Financial Institutions, Retail & Real Estate sectors.
