Alina has more than 20 years of experience representing clients in commercial and contract disputes, business conflicts, bankruptcy proceedings, as well as litigation involving natural resources, real estate, and construction. She is an expert in port cargo transshipment, including matters related to Take or Pay agreements.

Alina also specializes in business reputation protection and family law matters, with significant experience in disputes over parental rights.

Qualification

Representing Swiss coal trader Kaproben Handels in a dispute with the Taman seaport operator over the termination of a take-or-pay coal transshipment agreement worth over USD 300 mln.

Representing UC RUSAL in one of Russia's largest corporate disputes involving MMC Norilsk Nickel before the commercial courts of the East Siberian District.

The dispute included representation in Russin courts and arbitration proceedings administrated under the ICAC Rules, as well as coordinating parallel litigation and arbitration proceedings in the United Kingdom, Cyprus and the British Virgin Islands.

Representing VEB-Leasing in a dispute concerning unlawful diversion of funds exceeding RUB 16 billion before the commercial courts of the Moscow District.

Representing Transammiak, a Russian ammonia transport company, in civil and antitrust disputes over the right to use an ammonia pipeline in arbitration courts of the Moscow and Volga districts in a conflict initiated by a major mineral fertilizer producer.

Representing a gold mining company in arbitration courts in the Moscow and Far Eastern districts in a dispute with a leading company in the industry over the right to develop a large deposit.

Representing a chromium producer in a complex project involving the settlement of claims totaling over RUB 5 billion brought by the Orenburg Region Department of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources of the Russian Federation, before the courts of the Volga District and the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources.

Representing a major Moscow developer in a dispute with the Federal Agency for State Property Management of the Russian Federation in connection with the seizure of land for foreign embassy facilities before the Moscow District arbitration courts, as well as in related proceedings before the European Court of Human Rights.

Representing the Bolshoi Theatre in a defamation dispute initiated by a renowned opera critic.

The case also involved representation in a dispute with a leading ballet dancer in the City of Moscow’s Courts of general jurisdiction.
Reputation Recovery

Representing a music producer and composer in commercial court proceedings seeking protection of business reputation against the owner of a leading Russian media holding.

Oversaw litigation related to the search for and repatriation of Swiss national children unlawfully removed to Russia, in accordance with the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.

Representing a Russian fishing enterprise in a dispute with a competing company over the right to obtain fishing quotas in the Moroccan fishing zone, before the Arbitration Courts of Moscow and the Moscow Region, and the Federal Antimonopoly Service.

Alina has authored a series of publications on enforcement proceedings, bankruptcy and construction contracts. She has also developed and lectured her own special course on business reputation protection and legal writing skills at the Lawyers Institute of the Kutafin Moscow State Law University.
