Representing Russia’s largest shipbuilding company in arbitration under the SIAC Rules arising from a foreign supplier’s failure to fulfill its obligations.

Representing a major Russian operator of an oil and gas field development project in disputes relating to the unlawful termination of a time charter agreement for offshore vessels and claims for damages.

The case also involved termination of a drilling contractor agreement. The dispute was considered in a Russian court in accordance with Article 248.1 of the APC RF.

Representing Sakhalin Energy operator of an oil and gas field development project «Sakhalin-2» in a dispute relating to unlawful termination of a time charter and dispute with its drilling contractor.

These cases also concern the application of Article 248.1 of the Russian Commercial Procedure Code.

Represented a Russian national in a dispute arising from a corporate conflict under the LCIA Rules.

Representing a Russian national in a dispute concerning challenging EU sanctions before the EU Council and CJEU (Court of Justice of the European Union) and UK sanctions before OFSI (Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation).

Represented Russia’s largest leasing company in a dispute concerning the default of its EU subsidiaries from the Eurobonds. The client was a guarantor under the obligation to pay coupon yield on Eurobonds.

The dispute was heard in the Moscow City Commercial (Arbitrazh) Court. The law of England and Wales was applicable.

Advised a major Russian mineral fertiliser producer on unblocking assets held in European banks and depositories that had been blocked due to sanctions, including converting general and American depositary receipts into shares of Russian issuers and accounting for the transfer of rights to shares from a foreign depositary to a Russian one.

His experience includes disputes in the fields of Industry, Shipbuilding, Oil&Gas, and Pharmaceuticals.

Before joining the DGP team, Alexander worked at a Russian law firm.
