Advising a Russian company in an international arbitration against a sovereign state concerning expropriation of the company’s business of production of medicines and chemical products under UNCITRAL Rules.

Advising a respondent state in an arbitration against an investor concerning alleged expropriation of oil & gas business under ICSID Rules.

Representing a Russian company in LCIA arbitration against US company concerning delays and failure to deliver works under contractor’s agreement governed by English law.

Representing a Swiss company in multi-contract LCIA arbitration against EU company concerning failure to supply chemicals as per various supply agreements governed by English law.

Representing a Russian company in ICC arbitration against Turkish company concerning failure to comply with contractual obligations upon exit from the Russian market.

Representing a sovereign state authority in a dispute against an English company related to setting-aside of ruling on jurisdiction in ad hoc international arbitration.

Acting as sole arbitrator (appointed by Russian Arbitration Center) in a commercial arbitration concerning supply of goods for major international construction project.

Alexander has advised clients on high-profile transboundary M&A transactions, antitrust, compliance and sanctions-related matters.

Prior to joining the DGP team, Alexander was employed at a major Russian law firm and litigation and arbitration boutique firm, where he acted for Russian and foreign companies and individuals as well as foreign states in complex investor-state, commercial arbitration and cross-border dispute matters.
