DGP Team Prevails in Cross-Border Defamation Dispute
The law firm Dyakin, Gortsunyan & Partners (DGP) successfully defended the interests of a Russian client in a defamation case concerning the protection of honour, dignity, and business reputation against The Insider, a major independent media outlet.
On 12 November 2025, the Civil Division of the Riga Regional Court issued a ruling obliging The Insider to retract inaccurate information previously published on its website. The materials in question contained statements damaging the client’s honour, dignity, and business reputation, resulting in reputational harm.
