Dyakin, Gortsunyan & Partners – The Leading Force in International Arbitration in Russia

On October 6, 2025, the legal media platform Pravo.ru published the results of a large-scale study of the Russian international arbitration market covering the period from 2022 to 2024.

A total of 22 law firms representing clients in international arbitration proceedings participated in the study.

Following the results of the analysis, Dyakin, Gortsunyan & Partners (DGP) ranked first across all key metrics, demonstrating clear and unparalleled leadership in the market:

• #1 by total value of disputes
USD 31.1 billion — the total value of international arbitration cases handled by DGP during the review period.

• #1 by number of disputes
53 international arbitration proceedings in major arbitral institutions from 2022 to 2024 — more than twice as many as the second-ranked firm.

• Leader by number of disputes in the most prominent arbitral institutions (ICC, LCIA, SIAC)
DGP handled the highest number of cases under the rules of the most in-demand arbitration centers during the review period.

These results not only distinguish DGP from other Russian law firms, but also position the firm among the world’s leading players featured in the prestigious GAR30 ranking. The total value of DGP’s international arbitration portfolio exceeds that of a significant portion of the GAR30 firms.

Dmitry Dyakin, Head of Dispute Resolution, commented:

"Since 2022, the landscape of legal services in international arbitration has changed significantly. We are truly witnessing a ‘golden age’ of international arbitration in Russia. Despite the rapid growth in the number of practices on the market, only a few teams have the balance and resources required to handle a high volume of large-scale cases. I am proud to say that this research reflects the true extent of our practice. I would like to thank my entire team — none of this would have been possible without them."
