Dyakin, Gortsunyan Partners (DGP) law firm is pleased to announce that Dmitry Tikhonov has joined the team as a Counsel. This is a significant step in strategic development of the firm’s dispute resolution practice.

Dmitry specializes in complex cross-border disputes relating to international commercial and investment arbitration, as well as proceedings before international courts. He has experience in handling commercial and corporate disputes, construction-related matters, and debt recovery projects. He has represented clients in high-profile proceedings under the ICSID, ICC, SCC and VIAC rules. Dmitry also has substantial experience in advising on insolvency matters, including cross-border bankruptcy procedures. Since 2013 he has worked in the Moscow and, later, Dubai offices of the international law firm White&Case. His move to Dyakin, Gortsunyan Partners continues the firm’s tendency of integrating professionals from White&Case’s former Moscow disputes team aimed at strengthening DGP’s expertise and reflecting the high caliber of disputes the firm handles.

'It is a great honor for me to join a team known for its solid reputation in dispute resolution, which sets professional standards in the field. I am confident that my experience will contribute to DGP’s further development and strengthen the firm’s international presence enabling our clients to navigate most complex challenges in the most effective way,' Dmitry Tikhonov, Counsel in the Dispute Resolution practice.

'We have built a strong team with extensive international experience, capable of effectively and confidently handling the most complex and large-scale disputes. Looking ahead, we are continuing to strengthen our position as a dispute resolution powerhouse in Russia and the CIS. Dmitry’s arrival is a natural step towards achieving this ambitious goal,'  Dmitry Dyakin, DGP’s Head of Dispute Resolution.
